Job Requirements:
•A masters or equivalent in or around the theme of sustainable development (e.g. green economics, international development, environmental sciences) / Bachelor’s degree in engineering with masters or equivalent in and around finance.
•Excellent excel and writing skills
•Proven presentation, communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
•Experience of working within financial services or as specialist ESG research providers (e.g. MSCI, Bloomberg, Sustainalytics) will be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
•The analysis of Indian companies on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and the management of their respective ESG risks and opportunities.
•The analysis of annual reports of the companies and other public information to highlight the major divergence between sustainable economic profitability and reported profitability.
•Conducting engagement with companies on ESG issues.
•Supporting and developing tools for the effective integration of ESG analysis into stock valuation process.
•Producing thought leadership research exploring the business, or macro-economic, case for ESG analysis and integration.
•Engaging with Institutional investors on ESG related parameters on various companies and help them to form an opinion basis the risk/ opportunity and performance assessments.
