Job Requirements:

  • MPM, MBA/MA/PGDM (in HR/PM&IR) with Diploma in Labour Laws
  • 6 - 15 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliances.
  • Ability to interpret the applicability of laws and have a good understanding of the industry practices.
  • Keen for an individual contributor role.
  • Ability to work and excel in a fast paced, high growth environment.
  • Ability to handle stretch assignments and bring structure to complex work.
  • Exposure to compliance tool or software.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to manage large data in Microsoft excel in a proficient way and present compliance
  • MIS to management.
  • Vendor management skills.
  • Good learner.
  • Wiling to work on tasks assigned with utmost dedication

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, review and ensure compliance under various labour laws including Factories, Shops and Establishment, CLRA and BoCW Acts for all assets.
  • Coordinate with Site In-charges to maintain upto date list of contractors along with the manpower deployed. Timely renew/amend contract labour registrations and licenses.
  • Coordinate with Operations Heads / Site Incharges and Labour Consultant to maintain allstatutory registers and displays.
  • Provide support to sites in handling inspections and ensure replying to notices and coordinating with the labour departments.
  • Coordinate with labour consultant and operations to conduct periodic audit of contractors and ensure closure of all observations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a checklist for all returns, registers, displays, notices, inspection etc for each asset.
  • Provide support in due diligence of new assets and support in transitioning of employees in case of acquisitions.
  • Maintain complete records of engagement of compliance related vendors including contractors providing manpower services etc.
  • Keep track of minimum wages and ensure timely communication for updation in payroll.
  • Track and update all compliances in the compliance tool (software) for quarterly reporting to the management as per the compliance policy.
  • Periodic review with senior stakeholders of compliance status.
  • Effective grievance handling and employee relations at sites.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned from time to time
