Job Requirements:

• Qualification: CA / CFA / MBA or other relevant qualifications
• Experience of 6-10 years as a macro analyst, economist, or in a similar research role in Indian asset management, financial services space.
• In-depth understanding of Indian macroeconomic conditions and market dynamics.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with global economic developments and geopolitical trends.
• Experience with financial forecasting, stress testing, and risk management.
• Understanding of the Indian and global economic landscape, including key drivers of markets.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, or other financial databases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic data and trends (GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment, fiscal/monetary policy, etc.).
• Analyse macroeconomic data and trends, providing forecasts for key indicators like inflation, interest rates, and growth prospects.
• Analyse central bank policies (e.g., RBI, Fed, ECB) and geopolitical developments impacting markets.
• Track regulatory changes (SEBI, RBI) and evaluate their impact on financial markets.
• Prepare macroeconomic reports, monitor global developments, and provide investment recommendations based on market outlooks.
• Interpret economic data and financial news and prepare reports on trends impacting asset management.
• Integrate macroeconomic views into investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk management decisions.
• Contribute to investment philosophy and communicate macroeconomic trends via reports, webinars, and commentaries.
• Conduct thematic research on structural trends (e.g., demographics, ESG, digitalization)
• Represent the firm in client meetings, explaining macroeconomic outlook and addressing portfolio-related queries.
• Assist in assessing macroeconomic risks like inflation, interest rates, currency volatility, and economic shocks; and support portfolio risk profiling.
