Job Requirements:

1. 10 -15 years of experince in Sourcin & Procurement  role
2. Strategic sourcing and procurement of Synthetic chemistry, Formulation & Development raw materials such as API’s, API Intermediates,KSM’s,RSM’s, Excipients,Capsules and Packaging materials, general chemicals like Carbonates, Sulphates etc.
3. Handling GMP Documents
4. ERP / SAP experience
5. Experience in arranging regulatory documents from vendors

Job Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and monitoring the overall sourcing, negotiations and material movement of all materials requested by
various end users from all departments namely Production, Chemistry R and D, Quality Control, Quality Assurance,
EHS, Discovery Biology, Admin and Capital.
2. Supervision of Import Logistics, custom clearance, Domestic Logistics for speedy material movement, negotiation
and approval of freight rate contracts with domestic and international courier companies.
3. Supervision, monitoring and review of Vendor Qualification documents, Training records, Training Matrix, Training
Planner, Organogram, department SOPs, Approved Vendor List, Interim Vendor List, and other important documents
such as OHSAS, HIRA etc., related to IMS for the purchase department. Preparation updating and review of all or
specific SOPs for Purchase department, after approval and discussion with QA department.
4. Handling the negotiations for all high value purchase orders and approval of all Purchase orders negotiated and
processed by the department colleagues .
5. Negotiation and finalization of Rate contracts and discount contracts with regular suppliers and catalogue company
suppliers for regularly procured chemicals, lab consumables and consumables procured for various departments.
6. Review and approval of Sourcing and Costing proposals for all RM lists starting with index code ABE, uploaded in
the ERP by the Project Management Department. Identifying and sourcing of new vendors globally for tough chemicals,
communicating with the new vendors and asking for quotes and giving sourcing leads to the sourcing team when they
are unable to identify proper sources for the listed chemicals to be sourced in the ABE projects.
7. Strategic Sourcing to identify strong first source and second source GMP manufacturers within India as well as global
for key raw materials, critical raw materials , specialty chemicals and solvents for regular , GMP as well as
Process Validation custom synthesis projects to ensure competent quality, competent pricing and uninterrupted supply
of materials. Developmental samples are also procured for quality approval and vendor qualification
8.Vendor Development by having face to face meeting with vendors by way of travel within India and international
exhibitions and also directly to vendor manufacturing facility to establish vendor rapport, assess vendor credibility
9. Supervising and handling quality issues and material rejections with vendors along with replacement from same
vendor or immediately identifying alternate vendor options.
10.Negotiation and finalization of sale of spent catalyst recovered and Liquidation of unused and ageing inventory raw
materials on a timely basis.
11.Supervision and monitoring of Domestic and Import Payments, and negotiation of Credit Terms for regular suppliers
and high value purchase orders wherever applicable.
12.Training department colleagues and repartees to develop skills and handle the purchase processes. Recruitment and
primary screening of candidates for Purchase department as and when required after Management approval.
