Job Description

Requirements: 

  • M.Sc./ M. Tech in Chemical Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, and similar related fields, Chemistry solid-state, organic, Inorganic, and industrial. 
  • Basic Chemical and analytical knowledge. 
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Office apps like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams effectively. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Conduct laboratory experiments focused on material synthesis, characterization, and testing. 
  • Assist in the evaluation and improvement of existing recycling methods to enhance process efficiency, yield, and environmental sustainability. 
  • Sample Preparation for materials characterization. 
  • Collect, interpret, and document experimental data, and prepare detailed reports to support the development of new recycling techniques. 
  • Perform chemical and physical characterization of recovered materials to ensure they meet battery-grade quality standards. 
  • Assist in the development of new materials and processes to improve battery performance, life cycle, and safety. 
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations during the handling and processing of hazardous materials. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and senior chemists, to translate research findings into scalable industrial processes. 
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in battery chemistry, recycling technologies, and sustainable practices. 
  • Preparation of battery materials as per decided routes, processing of samples, plotting, interpreting, and reporting data. 
  • Develop and optimize new processes and methods for elemental extraction and beneficiation of the existing and upcoming different Lithium-ion battery chemistries 
  • Efficient literature review, cross-verification of facts, and compiling factual piles for further interpretation. 
  • Being able to safely use and dispose of the requisite chemicals. 
  • Maintaining all relevant data and projecting/interpreting it in new, novel ways to get deeper insights. 
  • Assisting in tracking and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of chemicals in the R&D lab.
