Job Requirements:

• Graduation:  Any
• Any PG in Economics with some training in econometrics and statistical packages
• 8 -13 years preferably in a bank or financial institution
• Knowledge of macroeconomics, factors impacting various macroeconomic variables, functioning of domestic and international markets.
• Strong written communication skills, in terms of formal reporting and editing capability
• Strong relationship management skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting the chief economist in preparing theme-based reports and forecasts for the Indian economy
• Linking macro developments to financial market movements (fixed income and currency market) and assisting the trading and liquidity desk in taking trading and fund-raising decisions
• Providing inputs, meeting and advising internal clients (CFO, MD’s office etc.) and external clients (all customers of the bank’s corporate clients)
• Generating forecasts for all major macroeconomic variable and putting them in the public domain as the bank’s views.
• Interacting with the media (press, TV) as well as newswires, research agencies, data survey companies
• Contributing to the Bank’s Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) meetings
